THE STORY
Millencolin are a four piece punk band from Sweden.Erik, Mathias and Nikola started the band in October -92 in Orebro,Sweden in 1993. Then Larzon joined later that year. In August the band recorded and released their first full length album "Tiny Tunes" (later re-named "same old tunes" because of legal ranglings with Warner Bros.) which was released on Bearning Heart records.
The band released their second album "Life On a Plate" and toured endlessesly. These shows included their first outside Scandinavia.
They released their third album For Monkeys in April 1997.
At this point, they had done close to 500 shows on five different continents and probably spent close to 3 of the 5 years on the road or away from family and friends. Everybody in the band felt really burned out and touring didn't feel as fun as it used to. They agreed on taking a break for a indefinite time.
But not to worry, In early 1999 everybody had gotten all the energy back the left for Hollywood by the end of July to record our fourth album "Pennybridge Pioneers". "Pennybridge[rebro translated directly into English - re=Penny, Bro=Bridge] Pioneers" was released on the 21st of February 2000. The band followed the album with vigourous touring and their next album "Home From Home" will be released in the UK in March 2002.
